For week 6 I found a blog that fits my needs almost perfectly! Melissa Pilakowski’s Technology Pursuit is a blog about integrating technology into the Language Arts classroom, though her posts are helpful for all subjects as well. I was very interested in one post about HSTRY Timelines. Though it may seem this could only be useful for History classes, Melissa discovered ways to incorporate it into a Language Arts class as well.

She used it for her own journals in order to keep track of new ideas, but it could also be useful to have students journal what they have learned as well. In our CORE class, we learned about using exit tickets to assess student learning, and having a timeline journal would be a great way to see students’ progress throughout the year. It can also be used for book reports, reading logs, and reflections. Teachers can use it for free, but with limited activities. To have access to all features, you can either pay $15.00 a month, or $120.00 a year
