I downloaded Karen Bosch’s One Best Thing iBook; “APPlied Poetry: Creating and Publishing Multimedia Poetry“. I really like the idea of students being able to get more creative with poetry writing, especially since most students hate it. Karen’s book is about a multimedia poetry project that her class did, where she then put all projects into another iBook.

She also included how to create the final book, which is helpful for any class looking to make something like that. I liked a lot of her apps she suggested for certain poetry units/projects, and I plan on using several if I end up doing this with a class. It’s much more fun than just writing poems on a piece of paper, and in the end students have a way to see what they’ve created as a class.
